Breast ultrasound

Breast ultrasound is an extremely safe medical ultrasound examination that detects various pathologies, very small formations, any nodules, cysts, breast tissue damage, malignant or benign tumors, breast inflammation and injuries, or even the first signs of cancer. In order to detect any risk in time, it is recommended to perform an ultrasound examination once a year, after reaching the age of 25.

Breast ultrasound must be performed:

• Annually - prophylactically;
• For those who have undergone breast augmentation with implants;
• My chest started to hurt for an unknown reason;
• You feel a lump or nodule in the breast tissue;
• Pain or swelling of unknown origin in the armpit or armpit area;
• Change in size or shape of one breast;
• Pimples, scales, depressions, wrinkles of unknown origin appeared on or around the nipple, which were not there before;

The appearance of the nipple has changed: the shape, position in relation to the breast, the nipple is inverted or vice versa - retracted, its color has changed;

Discharge began to flow from the nipple.

Important for those with breast implants

It is a mistake to think that after breast augmentation with implants you will be able to forget about them for at least 10 years. Doctors of plastic reconstructive surgery recommend an annual preventive breast examination with an echoscope, thanks to which the condition of the implant and breast tissue can be assessed. There are cases when the shape of the breast appears to be unchanged, but the delamination and ruptures of the implant capsule are visible during ultrasound.
