How to prepare for breast lift surgery?

Drug use and bad habits

It is recommended not to take anti-inflammatory drugs before surgery, as they can increase the risk of bleeding. It is recommended to stop smoking for at least 6 weeks before and after surgery.

Postoperative care

Special care

After breast lift surgery, patients spend the first day in the clinic. The first month after the operation requires caution - after a few days you can start working without making very strenuous movements. In the first weeks after the operation, you should not lift your hands, so that the implants (if both lifting and augmentation are performed) do not move from their places and the wounds heal faster. A special bra must be worn 24/7 for 4 weeks after surgery.

Healing and

Scarring You will feel swelling in your breasts for 2-3 weeks and the breast will finally heal in a few months. The postoperative scar should be protected from direct sunlight for at least half a year to keep it as small as possible. The scar usually fades within 2 years.

Physical activity

After breast lift surgery, it is necessary to avoid heavy physical activity during the entire healing period. It is recommended not to exercise actively for at least 2 months.
