In addition to the surgeon's fees, be sure to account for the costs of pre and post-op consultations, the surgical facility, anaesthesia, any additional surgical needs such as breast implants or compression garments, lab work, medication, aftercare, and travel expenses such as plane tickets, accommodations, and time off from work. It is also important to consider the potential for additional medical and travel costs in the event of a complication.
