Removable dental prostheses are usually used when, for various reasons, it is impossible to perform dental implantation or bone augmentation operations, so it is not possible to fix prostheses on teeth or implants, as well as after extraction of teeth, when implantation is planned later, and for economic reasons.

There are several types of removable dentures: partial and full aesthetic plates, arch supporting dentures - simple or with locks (intended for patients who have lost all or part of their teeth in the upper or lower jaw).

The simplest and most affordable option is a dental plate made of plastic. Removable arch support prostheses have a thin metal base, which, according to a special design, is poured into the oral cavity and does not take up much space, so it does not make speech difficult. It can be attached to healthy abutment teeth with hooks or a locking system. Such dentures restore the chewing function quite well, because it distributes the chewing load to all the remaining supporting teeth, and not just to the mucosa.
