The question of how a king meets his end on the battlefield is something that, you know, often sparks a lot of interest. For Richard the Third, the last Plantagenet ruler of England, his passing was not just a historical event; it was, in a way, a very dramatic moment. His story, as a matter of fact, closes out an entire era of English royalty, leaving behind a tale that historians and curious people have been trying to piece together for centuries. We are going to look closely at what we know about that day, and also, what we have recently come to understand about his last breath.
On a rather significant day, the twenty-second of August in the year fourteen eighty-five, a great conflict took place.
